This is a shout-out to all the people who have surfed into Small Peculiar recently on searches for "dysthymia." If they are suffering, I would like to let them know they are not alone.
No progress yet on my plans to sell out because I still haven't gotten any of the money my clients owe me for books about psychopathic preachers, narcissistic high school celebutantes, or programming languages I don't understand, so I can't buy a photo printer yet. And yesterday I had to clean out Bela's tank because it was overrun with algae, so now he's hard at work reconstructing the bubble nest under the central leaf of his Amazon sword plant. He blows a bubble or two and then stares at the nest, and then another bubble, and then more staring. He and I go about our work in much the same way.
