I accuse my parents

Today -- yesterday, really -- when I looked in the bathroom mirror I saw one single eyebrow hair thrust toward the heavens, nor could it be persuaded to lie flat like the others. I guess mad scientist eyebrows, like schizophrenia, can strike at any age. You may say that I can't surmise from the presence of a single upthrust hair that my brows will eventually start talking in a Hungarian accent about creating beeingks off unSINKable strengks unt seiss, but you haven't seen my father's. I said it on Small Peculiar and I'll say it again here: I like my father's eyebrows, because he has kind of a mad scientist face, and I mean that in the nicest possible way -- you know, striking. My face is not striking; it is the kind of face people with clipboards ask, "Do you have five minutes for the environment today?" On such a face mad scientist eyebrows are not a glory. Maybe when I'm old and venerable, but until then I'm going to buy some tweezers.
