Good advice from Annabel

I have found this to be a useful reminder while I'm working. The natural reaction to a terrible feeling is to shrink from it, but unfortunately that doesn't work with writing. If you don't write through the terrible feeling you get what I have generally gotten, that being a pile of unfinished novels.

Incidentally, I'm very pleased with the way those despair-waves came out.

Also incidentally, I was supposed to hear back from the speed-dating people yesterday. I think I didn't get any matches, but I'll write to the organizer just to make sure. I thought I clicked with at least one or two of those guys, though I got the impression that the one who told me he was studying to be a neurologist found my enthusiasm a little daunting.
