But then, another good quote for the beginning of my lobotomy book could come from Angelene Forester, recalling sitting on Walter's lap as a little girl. David Shutts already got what is obviously the most appropriate quote for the beginning of a book about Walter Freeman, "Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven," but Mrs. Forester's remark kind of captures that same idea: "As a child you kind of see into people's souls and he was least then...I don't know what happened after that. I wish he hadn't gotten quite so out of hand."
